The research of artist Rodrigo Cunha (Florianópolis, Brazil, 1976) focuses predominantly on painting centered on the representation of the human figure. In planes that seem to slide the elements off the canvas, the characters inhabiting the artist's imagination strip away his privacy, posing inside closed rooms. By representing, as background, canvases within his canvases, the artist also promotes a dialogue between his painting and those of other artistic movements.
Rodrigo has works in institutional collections such as Fundação Cultural Badesc (Florianópolis); Galeria de Arte da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (Florianópolis-SC); Museu de Arte de Santa Catarina, Florianópolis (Florianópolis-SC) and SESC Santa Catarina (Florianópolis-SC).
